If you are too thin, it will make you eat more due to the hard work you put into running. Keep it up for a few months and you will get a better physique. Similarly, if you are overweight you can burn your unwanted fat. But in this case just running will not make all the difference. You will also have to switch to a healthier diet to really make it work.
- These days most of the people suffer from health related issues like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, etc. If you spend few minutes on running everyday you will be able to get it all under control. Besides that running also reduces stress as it makes you focus on your health and not your job or personal problems. It also improves your immune system and makes your bones stronger.
- As you make running a regular thing, your stamina will start to increase. It will happen because your lungs will learn to work faster and more efficiently. Your heart will also learn to pump blood with more speed which will make your cardiac muscles stronger. Soon you will be running faster and covering greater distances than you originally could. This will not only have a better impact on your health but will also give you confidence. It will make you feel that you have accomplished something with your hard work.

Running is not a complex task. All of us have been doing it since the childhood. It is not like you are going to learn it now. The only thing you need to learn is the best way to make it most effective. The most important thing is to have the right gear. You need very comfortable and durable running shoes. Having comfortable and flexible clothes is also essential for you. Of course initially you will be for just a few hundred meters. As the time passes you will have to increase the speed as well as the distance. Time is not if that much importance.
There is no doubt that running is very beneficial for you, even if you do it the wrong way. Thus you should make a habit of giving it 15 to 30 minutes of your day. To make it more fun, you can ask a friend to tag along.
